WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?!!?
So, we already have beautiful 2.5 year old twin girls, Alexis and Kayla. They are wonderful!! They talk all the time, learn new things, and their senses of humor crack me up. Yes, they are a hand full!
On Sunday night, Oct 30, I started spotting. I called the doc and told them what was going on and she wanted me to come in right away to get checked out. I left work for a bit Monday morning (also Halloween), and Eddie and I headed to the docs office. They gave me an ultrasound to make sure that everything was ok, and find out where the bleeding may have been coming from.
Right away the doctor was able to find the yolk sac, tiny tiny baby, and a little flickering heart! It was a great site, especially since I was freaking out all night. I really was expecting the worse. Pete, the lab tech said “And there’s just one little flickering heart”. They took some measurements, and determined that I was about 6w2d or so. She then started looking around to see if she could find a subchorionic hemmorage like I had with the girls pregnancy to see if it could be causing the spotting. She could not find one and asked if I was very active over the weekend. I said that I was. She said that I probably did too much and to take it easy.
And then, she moved the wand a little more and there was…. ANOTHER BABY!!!! I could NOT believe it!! There was a 2nd baby with a 2nd little beating heart. 2 SETS OF TWINS!!! OMG!!!
I was in shock. I still am, but happy as can be. I feel extra blessed. Now I just need to take it easy, and try to have this pregnancy be a lot less eventful than the last. ![]()
