We are SOOOO proud of our girls. 
They became Kindergarten graduates on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. And in just a few days when school let’s out they will be first graders!
Before the graduation they put on a show. There were 3 plays about Anansi the Spider. Alexis was supposed to be Grandma in one segment but she was sick the whole week before and missed rehearsals, so her part was given to someone else. 
She was still in the play though and danced her part as Anansi’s friend. Kayla was a narrator and can be seen in a couple of these photos on the mic saying her part.
As for Graduation, the biggest excitement came when Alexis’ certificate was held until the end after all the other kids because she got special mention for being such a wonderful Kindergarten student and a big influence in her class! Her teacher said that she is a joy to have around and she is the leader of the class. When everyone else is busy acting out, Alexis is sitting with her hands folded being good! She said more that I cannot remember because I was in shock. Alexis was too as she walked up to get her certificate with her hands over her mouth. Kayla’s teacher always says similar things about her too.
Alexis is reading at a 2nd grade level, and Kayla is right behind her! It is amazing how quickly they have grown. They are both adjusting and doing so well. I can’t wait to see how they do as first graders.
