In keeping with the current theme of movies, I have another great tip. I have 4 kids and they LOVE their movies. We have a DVD player in the mom mobile so our DVDs go from home, to car, to grandma’s, and back home again. And if the kids get their hands on them? Well… I’ll just say that they usually never work the same again! So, backing up your original DVDs or ESPECIALLY Blu rays disks and using the copy to play while storying the original safely away is a great idea! This way if anything happens to the copy, you will still feel good knowing that the one that you paid $15 – $20 for is tucked high on the shelf where the kids cannot get to them! I wish I had started doing that right away, because I have already had to get rid of a couple of disks that were so stratched up that they would no longer play.
123 Media Max has come to the rescue with a Blu-Ray Copy Breakthrough that allows you to back up even your Blu-Ray disks to a regular DVD!
This program not only handles DVDs, but there is an awesome list of features that lets you convert movies to a number of formats such as DivX, AVI, Windows Media Video (WMV), and MPEG4 and portable devices.
Do yourself a favor and check it out to protect those valuable movies!

thank you for sharing.. now i know how will i back up my dvd movies nice topic. love it =)
I usually have a hard time with software related stuff, but this was pretty simple to use. I was able to burn most of my dvds without much of a problem so it definitely made my day. Been borrowing my brother's blurays to make copies for myself so I save a lot of money.
I thought the software was pretty cool because I live in Connecticut near the water and have my entertainment area in the basement. Last year a flood damaged all my electronics including blu-rays so now I keep a spare set of them upstair in a waterproof safe.

What a fantastic gadget. I'm in the same position that my dvds and blu-ray disks just don't last. Thanks for the tip.
