Vlogs and podcasts are huge on the web these days. There is something about being able to watch a video tutorial or segment rather than reading it. It gets the point across better, it grabs the watchers attention if done well, and it adds life to your site or blog. But in order for it to work, it has to be done right.
One of my biggest pet peeves with video hosting sites are the size limits. YouTube (although free) only allows the users to upload a video up to 10 minutes in length and 100mb in size. If you are planning to use video for your business, these limits might hold you back. Enter Viddler.com.
This is different kind of video hosting website. It is geared towards businesses who need hosting for marketing or educational use. Unlike YouTube and related sites, you can upload a whopping 2gb video file. And if that is still not enough, it can be increased. If you need online video for business, you will need a reliable service not surrounded by ads, music videos, and comments! You need a professional look.
Believe it or not, I have only done one video here on my site so far! Well, I have videos of the kids, but only one of my talking, and doing a review. I need to do that more. Hmmm… but I always think that I sound like a mouse!
I will have to do it anyway though.
You also need a good video camera to get good clear video for your site. Some cells actually shoot pretty decent now. But if it is something that you will be doing for a pro look, i recommend a real camera. Check out some Best Buy coupons and shop for one!
