LittleTechGirl.com is 10 years old!

Yep, that’s right. This domain is 10 years old! No, the blog is not 10 years old… but the domain is.  I registered this domain just to have somewhere to play around and learn how to build HTML websites. How did I come up with the name? Well I am a girl. I was working in tech at the time. And a couple of people, including my mother had started calling me “Lil Bit”. So voila! LittleTechGirl.com was born. I started playing around with straight code, and at some point moved on to using FrontPage. Remember the lovely sites with the glorious animated gifs?? Remember the HUGE colorful buttons courtesy of designing in FrontPage? Ahhh… good stuff!!! In honor of this occasion let’s have a look at a couple of previous designs that I found on the Wayback Machine. Warning… not all components work on these sites since the graphic files are long gone. THANK GOD! LOL!!

April, 2003:

Lovely isn’t it? Give special props to the wonderful animated “Email Me” graphic at the bottom of the page. 🙂

I was going to share more designs, but umm… maybe I won’t. LOL!! If you are curious you can check out the rest on the Wayback Machine.

The first few years of having a “website” were slow moving. I was just playing around. I had no real purpose. I never thought it could and would turn into a business. Never would I have thought that just putting up a little website would take me so far. Heck, one of the first sites that I hosted was a tribute to Prince. Ha ha! Yes,I do still love him. Anyway… I have greatly enjoyed it and I look forward to what’s to come!

And thanks sooo much to those of you that have been on the journey with me.
