Google Voice SMS Displaying Random Numbers For Users

This morning I discovered an interesting issue. I sent 2 texts to my BF using the Google Voice website. A few minutes later he called and asked if I got his reply. I said “no”. He also asked “How many phones do you have over there?” Apparently each text came to him from a different phone number. NOT my Google Voice number. I then tested that theory by texting myself. I got a third number.

The Google Voice forum is filling up with similar complaints from other users. The issue does not seem to be isolated to the web interface, but mobile as well.

Until they issue is fixed, you might want to use your phones default messaging app to send a text. Or just give the person a call. 🙂
