Not too long ago I told you about the LG TV event that I attended here in Chicago. I got a look at some of the most beautiful televisions that I have ever seen. The colors are outstanding, the footprint is small, and most impressively the televisions are super thin.

With the holidays now here (YIKES!) lots of families may be thinking of a family gift rather than individual gifts. And this is a great idea! The family room television is where we all gather to watch movies and TV, or play games. Trust me… no one in your home would be upset if you had an outstanding 55″ LG OLED television delivered on Christmas Eve.

Or, take the whole family to Best Buy to play with it. Once they lay their eyes on the stunning curved, pencil-thin body they will all agree to take home a new television. They will probably convince you that they need a few new video games to go with the new television though. 🙂

OLED TVs offer richer color and blacker blacks. And the LG OLED TV is only .17″ at it’s thinnest point. That is incredible! I remember my first flat screen TV. It was 37″ and weighed as much as my old tube TV. There was no way that I could have moved it anywhere in my home alone. However, the LG OLED TV weighs only 31 lbs at 55″. Now that one I could manage!

And of course LG does not let us down on the technology. The LG Smart TV with the new webOS platform allows you to connect to all of your favorite streaming services.  The interface is designed to pull together all of your entertainment choices in one place. You can access Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, Vudu, and much more. And guess what? The remote is voice controlled! Using your voice you can easily issue commands to play content. And the LG Store is ready to deliver the latest movies, TV shows and apps right to your television.
