Whenever someone asks me what I want as a gift my mind first goes, “Hmmm…. is there a new gadget that I want?” I’m a simple creature. I love gadgets (obviously), shoes, watches, and jewelry. I think the same way when buying a gift for someone else. I would much rather get someone a gift that they can actually use, or one that will make them squeal with delight than something that sit and collect dust, or something that becomes easily lost in the abyss or other similar gifts (socks, ties, school supplies). Gifts should provoke a memory and a smile.

Best Buy is one of my favorite places to shop for gifts. Last Christmas I got the majority of my shopping for my kids completed at Best Buy. I love spoiling them at Christmas. And Best Buy makes finding the perfect Birthday Gifts easier than ever! My kids are at the age where they want everything techy. They are passed the toys stage. This makes me sad because it means that they are growing up. But it also means that my home will soon be a lot less cluttered! Woo hoo!

The Best Buy Gift Ideas Page makes it super easy to find gifts for any occasion. It features gift ideas and inspiration to help you easily find the perfect birthday gift, graduation gifts, gifts for him, and gift for her. If you have a price point in mind, there are lists to help you find gifts in your price range. Ranges include gifts under $25, gifts from $25-$49.99, gifts from $50-$99.99, gifts from $100-$249.99, and gifts over $250.

Besides shopping for my family I love to spoil myself as well. I hit the Best Buy site and picked out some gifts that I would love for myself. I created a Best Buy Wish List and added items that I would love to have as well as items that I already use and love.

Here are a few of my favorite gift choices:

1.Microsoft Band Smartwatch: I received a Microsoft Band on a recent visit to Seattle. This is a great smartwatch and smartphone companion. With Microsoft Health, this smartwatch helps you monitor your wellness goals by tracking your heart rate, steps, calorie burn and sleep quality. And it also helps you stay connected and productive with email and calendar alerts on your wrist. Love Cortana on your Windows Phone? With the Microsoft Band Cortana becomes your very own virtual assistant that responds to your voice commands and provides useful information.

2. JBL Flip 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker: I have reviewed the awesome JBL Flip 2 before. Since receiving this speaker last year it has become a permanent fixture in my kitchen. It is paired with my iPad 2. I use this when in the kitchen cooking and cleaning to watch TV and for listening to music. I recently wowed my neighbors by taking it outside while sitting on the patio. The sound is awesome. It fills up a room, and the portability is great for starting a party just about anywhere. This allows Bluetooth-enabled tablets, smartphones, or computers to play music, movies, audiobooks and more. And when paired with your smartphone you can use the convenient speakerphone feature when you receive a call. The sound is always loud and clear. I really do love it.

3. Amazon Fire TV Stick: I have both an Amazon Fire TV and a Fire TV Stick. Both provide the same functionality. However, the Fire TV stick is more portable. It easily connects to your TV’s HDMI port. Once plugged in and configured you can enjoy Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube.com, and much more. Some hotel TVs have accessible HDMI ports, so I take this with me when traveling to watch movies in my room.

4. Motorola 360: I gifted myself a Motorola 360 a few months ago. I love it! This is one fashionable piece of tech. The Motorola 360 allows you to stay connected while on the go. You can receive call notifications and email notifications. You can also setup notifications for just about every app on your phone. And with Android Wear there are several apps that you can run right on your wrist to do things like control your Xfinity cable box, order items on Amazon.com, or even order Dominos pizza.

5. Best Buy Gift Card: Not sure what to get? Too much to choose from? Of course you can just purchase a Best Buy Gift Card! Gift cards can be mailed, or delivered immediately via email. This way you recipient can get exactly what they want. Gift cards can be purchased for amounts ranging from $15 – $200.

These are just a few of my choices for great gifts from Best Buy. My dream would be to have a shopping list in a store. I’m sure that I could come up with 100 items to add to my Wish List. LOL!

What would you add to your Wish List? Check out the Best Buy Gift Ideas website and pick out a few things. 🙂

Disclosure: I received a Best Buy gift card in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
