I received a Pistachio: The Little Boy That Wouldn’t DVD about a week ago to review. I tested it out on our commute to school on Thursday. I heard NOT.ONE.PEEP out of my kids for the WHOLE ride.. Ding, ding, ding!!! I think we have a winner.
I could not see it, but i was listening and it sounded soooo cute. I was giggling and nodding and just loving the wholesome message that it was teaching my kids.
Pistachio is based on the well known story of Pinocchio. The lesson of this DVD is “always listen to your parents”. AMEN!! It also teaches the importance and family and learning. The movie of course stars the already well known VeggieTales characters. They include Larry the Cucumber as a toymaker named Gelato, the assistant Cricket, Junior Asparagus as Pistachio and many others.
When I did see it, I really got a kick out of the sidekick Cricket the Caterpillar. He is definitely the comic relief of the movie. It if full of fun, laughter, music, and a good message. Your kids are guaranteed to love it. My one complaint? That the movie wasn’t longer! 🙂
You can purchase Pistachio for only $14.99.
