It is the end of October already. That means the leaves are turning beautiful colors, the wind is cooling, Halloween is in a few days, and… it is time to think about Christmas. Not only is it time to start thinking about gifts, decorations, the looming snow (at least here in Chicago), but it is also time once again to think about Holiday Cards.
Each and every year I try to do a custom Christmas photo card with a cute photo of my kids. I *usually* get them done in time. But I think that last year they became more like New Year’s Cards. LOL! But, hey.. it’s the thought that counts. 🙂
I usually design the card myself, and then print it myself. This works out well for small quantities. But, if you go nuts one year and decide that you want to do a monster list, it’s probably better to use a reliable printing service such as Shutterfly to save yourself some ink and time! And the prices are incredible. Honestly, the prices probably come out cheaper than if you had to purchase paper, and ink, etc. for your printer.
They just released some great new holiday cards that you can check out. This includes Christmas photo cards, New Year’s cards, and even Hanukkah cards. I did not even make it to page 2 of the designs while browsing before I fell in love with some of them. I really love the designs that showcase more than one photo like Pictures In Red, With Love Chartreuse, and How Holly Story. I have 4 kids, so I have to make sure that I fit everyone on there. 🙂
