This is one of many posts that you will read about here and around the web from me about CES.
This will be my first CES (Consumer Electronics Show). I was planning on making the trip anyway. It’s full of gadgets, technology, nerds… and it’s in Vegas! I signed up a while ago and started making contacts and appointments. Not too long ago I was asked by Sears if I would like to attend as part of their inaugural Sears Blue Blogger Crew. I was excited and honored! I have grown up shopping at Sears. My mother and I have made many a trip there. I have gotten appliances there, clothes, shoes, you name it. I also love the Kenmore side of the organization.
CES is the largest electronics show in the US. It occurs every year in Vegas. Companies from all over come to showcase their newest products and show off their goods to consumers, press, and peers.
My role as part of the Blue Blogger Crew is to do what I would do anyway at such an event… soak up the sites, check out gadgets, take some photos and video, and report it all to you.
The CES Blue Blogger Crew includes:
- Jenna Hatfield, lead blogger at Stop, Drop and Blog; newspaper photographer and BlogHer contributing editor. [UPDATE: Here’s Jenna’s announcement about CES and the SBBC]
- Kris Cain, Kris Cain, lead blogger for LittleTechGirl, Tech Editor on Mom Blog Magazine, Host of Tech Talk After Dark on MomTV, editor and writer for the National Apple Gear and Chicago Tech Gear sections on Examiner.com.
- Andru Edwards, CEO of Gear Live Media and lead blogger for Gear Live. [UPDATE:Here’s Andru’s announcement about CES and the SBBC]
- Kelly Clay, a veteran blogger, works for Lockergnome, where she breaks news and analyzes trends in the tech industry. She currently lives in Seattle. [UPDATE: Here’s Kelly’s announcement about CES and the SBBC]
- Barbara Rozgonyi, founder of the Chicago chapter of the Social Media Club, reports on ways to grow business and build brands through her blog, WiredPRWorks. [UPDATE: Here’s Barbara’s announcement about CES and the SBBC]
You can view the Sears blog post about the Blue Blogger crew, or check out the official press release. There is also a mention on Mashable.
I’ll talk to you from CES! I’ll be posting and Tweeting whenever I can.
Disclosure: Sears is providing travel and accommodations for part of my trip.
