One of my many side-jobs is as a photographer. And one of my gimmicks is to take on-site photos, print them, and have them in the customers hands in minutes. I usually do very well on these jobs. However, I have missed out on a few customers because I did not have the ability to take debit or credit cards right at my station. It has been on my list for a while to checkout a solution for this. I figured by now there must be a great iPhone app that could handle this for me.
Well, if you are a Canadian business owner, you should check out Payfirma. It gives you the ability to process credit cards right on your iPhone. There is even an attachment that allows you to swipe the credit card right on your iPhone. The app also works with iPads and allows users to instantly process Visa, Mastercard, and American Express transactions. Once the card is swiped, the purchaser can sign right on the screen. How cool is that??
How much does it cost? The app is free in the Apple App Store. The optional card swiper is also free. And the transactions fee is only 2% per transaction. That is unreal.
This definitely sounds like something that I need. But, I’m not in Canada… boooo!! So, I will have to do some searching. But, when I saw this I thought it sounded really cool, so I had to share.
