Capture Family Memories with the New LG Nitro HD: A Camcorder in your Pocket

I am a total camera junkie. I love taking photos and I love shooting video. Since the invention of digital cameras I have loved that I can just take as many photos as I want or shoot as much video as I want and I am not wasting film! It is great.

This is especially true being the mother to 2 sets of twins. There is ALWAYS something going on that I wish that I could instantly have on film. The problem is always remembering to have my camera with me. But the rise of awesome smartphones like the new LG Nitro HD smartphone makes this possible! Remember when cell phone videos used to be so bad that you could not even tell what you were looking at? They were grainy and washed out and the sound was bad. Thank goodness we do not have to worry about that anymore. Well, most of us don’t. There are still a few out there that need to upgrade. 🙂

Anyway, the LG Nitro captures full 1080p HD video with awesome sound. It is like having a full-sized camcorder in your pocket at all times. The specs are truly amazing. Some highlights are:

  • 4.5″ True HD IPS Display – 1280 x 720 pixels for higher image resolution and text readability
  • 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Processor for Seamless Onboard Processing and Multitasking
  • Android 2.3 Platform (Gingerbread) – enhanced copy/paste, multitouch, and improved power management
  • 8.0 Megapixel HD Rear-Facing Autofocus Camera and Camcorder with LED Flash
  • 1.3 Megapixel Front-Facing Camera for Video Chat
  • Video Resolutions: 1280 x 720, 720 x 480, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 176 x 144 pixels
  • 1080p HD Video Recording
  • Audio Recording – record video with or without sound (mute)
  • Up to 7 hours of talk time

Besides the awesome camera specifications, the LG Nitro HD screen is amazing and makes viewing the video that you recorded great. The HD display is based on real RGB stripe pixels which provides more accurate color. And the aspect ratio of 16:9  makes viewing Netflix, YouTube, or Hulu Plus in widescreen awesome as well.

When I was sitting in my office 2 nites ago my 5 year old son, Kristopher came to me and said that he needed to read his book for school. Once he started reading, I instantly got emotional and I screamed “Wait! This is perfect.” I grabbed my LG Nitro and had him start again. I was able to capture most of his reading.  He read the whole book, but in my excitement i accidentally stopped the recording a bit short. LOL! But he read the whole book! I am SO proud of him. He is the one that has been struggling a tad behind his brother, but because of his behavior. But seeing him excited about reading is heart warming. Below is the video. In order to view it in the intended resolution be sure that you are viewing in full HD on your desktop or at least 720p if using a smartphone.

If you are looking for an awesome smartphone that will be there for you when you need to capture special moments with your kids do check out the LG Nitro HD on AT&T. Besides being an awesome camcorder it is a great Android powered phone to keep you in sync, in the know and, connected wherever you may be.

What makes LG Nitro’s True HD IPS Display so amazing? 16:9 Aspect ratio for widescreen entertainment, sharper, crisper images, amazingly accurate colors and more. Exclusively available on AT&T’s 4G LTE network. Find out more at www.NitrobyLG.com.
