Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 Keyboard and Mouse Review

The wireless keyboard and mouse that I had been using with my desktop computer was several years old. It still works, but not as well as it should. It had come to the point that I needed to reposition the large desktop receiver to be very close to the keyboard so that it would work consistently. It was awkwardly hanging under my desk right under the keyboard.

When I was asked to choose an item to review my shopping experience I went straight to the keyboard section. I knew exactly what I needed. I have had great luck with Logitech accessories in the past, so I went for theĀ Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 Keyboard and mouse.

Of course, I’m drawn to the technology of such a keyboard. Frankly speaking… it has a lot of buttons. šŸ˜‰

The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710

I chose the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 because I needed a nice full-size keyboard with great features. I looked at some of the curved sets, but I have tried those in the past and I have a hard time typing on them. Maybe because my fingers are short. šŸ™‚ This keyboard and mouse set have even more than I expected.

Fancy Features

There is a useful LED screen at the top of the keyboard that clearly shows when the battery is low, or when caps lock, num lock, mute, or FN are on. Also, I love having volume buttons, and pause and play buttons right on my keyboard for easy access.

Durability

Last week, I brought a bowl of chicken noodle soup to my desk like I often do. Yes, it is a bad habit. At one point I accidentally splashed a fairly decent amount of soup out of my bowl and right onto the left side of my new keyboard. Oh no!! I panicked for a few. Then I decided to pop off the keys to see just how much soup got under the keys. Much to my surprise, the area under the keys is a nice closed in flat surface. This means that no liquid was able to penetrate the electronics inside the keyboard. All it required was a quick wipe and it was ready to go. Nice!

The padded wrist rest makes typing very comfortable. It is not hard plastic like the other wrist rest on my old keyboard. That is not really useful. But, this one is nice and cushy. It feels great when I type.

And then there’s the mouse. The mouse fits like it was made just for my hand. It is sized perfectly. I imagine it might feel a bit small for someone with large hands, but for me it’s perfect. The left side offers programmable buttons which can be customized through the software. The top features the scroll button and an option button which switches it from the smooth scroll option to more of a clicky type scroll.

I am very happy with my keyboard. TheĀ Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 set can be purchased from Amazon.com.

Who ever says that they are not guilty, is lying to themselves. My keyboard probably has ants camping inside it, as much as i snack over it. I’m GUILTY

Guilty as charged, I often have to wipe down my keyboard and mouse. I love cheeto’s, needless to say my my mouse and keyboard have a nice orange glow to them that appears to stain after continued abuse.

I can’t tell when was the last time I DIDN’T eat at my keyboard. I’m eating right now. I’ve definitely had a few spills. And if it isn’t a spill, it’s crumbs.
