For My Birthday, I’m Headed to Seattle to Hang with Microsoft

Office365logoOrange_WebAs previously mentioned I am very happy to be a 2013 Microsoft Office Ambassador. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know Office all over again. I love the changes and improvements that have been added to the suite since my days in tech support. The new interface is very pretty, and optimized to work great on Windows 8 and with touch screen.

I was beyond ecstatic to get an invite to visit the Microsoft headquarters in Seattle. I fly out Sunday morning which just happens to be my 39th birthday. I could be partying, but you know me… I’m a geek, so going to of all places, the Motherload aka Microsoft, is a dream come true and an awesome birthday present.

The agenda includes a tour of the Microsoft Envisioning Center, a cooking event with Allrecipes (YUM!!), and Windows and Office deep dive sessions plus more. That sounds awesome to me! I am also looking forward to seeing several of my other blogger friends. It has been a while since I have seen many of them including some Windows Champions and some other MS Office Ambassadors.

I have never been to Seattle, so I am very much looking forward to seeing the city. We are staying in downtown Seattle which sounds great. I don’t know much about it except some of what was in a certain recent popular book series (think Grey). I will be armed with my new Canon T4i camera and a couple of lenses. I am hoping to catch some shots of the beautiful city. The weather in Seattle is not too far off from what we are experiencing in Chicago right now. Actually it looks much better!

I can’t wait!!!

Have any questions for Microsoft about Office or Bing? Post them here or tweet me @LittleTechGirl and I will make sure that they get answered. You can also follow all of the tweets for the event at #win8officevisit.

Disclosure: My visit is sponsored by Microsoft. All opinions are my own.
