Windows 8.1
By now you have heard all about Windows 8. There was recently a free update, Windows 8.1, released that includes quite a few improvements. These include adding more function to the beloved Windows button. No… the *Start Menu* is not back, however now when you click it (or push the button on your keyboard), it takes you to the tile screen, but it can also expand a list of all of your apps when you swipe up.
Some other improvements include that when you install a new app, it will no longer add it to the Start screen. This is huge. I had all kinds of icons on my Start screen that I was not using. And removing them was tedious. Also, your personal tiles will be larger so that they stand out.
I have recently gotten a few questions about Windows 8.1 and I have a few Windows 8.1 devices here that I will be sharing info on soon. Meanwhile, please check out the Windows site to learn more.
