You may have noticed (or not) that I’ve been very quiet the past few days. Blogging life had to take a backseat for a bit. I was busy scheming!! For the past week or so I have been shopping, packing, and preparing in secret…
If you are reading this, I’m headed to the airport with my 4 kids in route to Florida! And until this morning they had no idea!! Just typing this I am ready to spontaneously combust from the excitement! We are attending the Family Forward conference in Universal Studios. The conference is thrown by Mom It Forward and is guaranteed to be full of great things. When I saw the conference announcement in January I jumped right on it! I missed out on taking my kids to other conferences such as this, so I was very excited to be able to take this opportunity. And yes!!! You read that right. I HAVE BEEN KEEPING THIS SECRET SINCE JANUARY!!! That is 7 looooooongggggg months!!! I was determined to make it, and I did! Over the past few days the secret got threatened (meddling Grandparents), but I got it in check right away. There was no way I was going to make it this long and then have it messed up!
For months I have been teasing my kids. No clues and no hints. But I patented my “I got a secret” dance and chant. LOL! This morning the secret is finally being revealed. 🙂
My girls are 11. My boys are 8. They have been on little mini-vacations here and there. However, those were all road trips. This is their first time on an airplane! And this will be their first time in Florida. Of course I did not plan for it to take this long. However, life happens. And plane tickets for 5-6 people can get very expensive! Add a hotel room, rental car, and park tickets and you have yourself one very expensive vacation. Luckily I was able to take advantage of a great deal as part of the Family Forward conference.

OMG! How awesome is that?! Wish there was time to see you but I know how conferences go. Awesome surprise! You get the Mami of the year award!
