If you are my Facebook friend you may have heard by now that I’m getting married. YEAH! Next June is the magic date. With everything else going on I am trying not to lose my mind. 🙂 I’m working on a site just for the occasion, but until then, I’m doing a bit of wedding related posting over here. I’ll be doing a series called “Getting Wedding Ready”. As any woman who has ever gotten married knows, there is usually a long list of to-do’s associated with planning a wedding. And on top of the hall, caterer, DJ, photographer, chairs, guest list, and all other things that go into planning a wedding, as the bride you want to make sure that you look more beautiful than you have ever before in your life. No pressure right? 🙂 First up? Getting fuller hair!
When you are 22 looking your best on your wedding day is probably easy. You are super young, bouncy, thin, and you probably have no stress, and not many responsibilities. Ahhh… those were the days! But at 40, like I am now, things have changed. I’m starting over after living a life! I’m the mother to 4 kids… 2 sets of twins. AHHH!!! When and how did that happen??? Sometimes I still don’t believe it, but then I look in the mirror. LOL! We all know that life and children change things! So, as I prepare for my wedding I’m working more on me!
I have several things that I could do better, but sometimes life just really gets in the way. I have exactly 8 months to get wedding ready! One of the major things on my list is deciding what to do with my hair. I have short hair, and I LOVE my cute, short do.
What I don’t love is how thin my hair is on top. It’s something that I have dealt with for years. And while I’m not trying to grow hair down to my butt, I would love to at least have more volume so that my hair looks fuller. To accomplish this I’m trying out Women’s Rogaine. Yep, that’s right… Rogaine. 🙂 We are used to seeing Rogaine commercials on TV for men. We may easily forget that it is also available for women.
I have had a relaxer since I was a teenager. I have toyed with the idea of going natural for a long time! However, as soon as my hair starts growing out and I see the change, I chicken out. LOL! I still may do it one day. I know that it would help with my goal of thicker, fuller hair. Sigh…
But for now I’m just changing up my routine a bit. Women’s Rogaine is a lightweight foam that you apply just once a day. It is designed to get into the roots and stimulate growth.
I picked up Women’s Rogaine on one of my many Walmart runs.
It was found in the aisle among all of the other hair care products such as shampoo.
I also needed some new shampoo, so I got some Aveeno Pure Renewal.
I sometimes have trouble remembering to add things to my daily routine. This goes double if it is hard to do. However, using the Women’s Rogaine is easy. It’s just like applying hair mousse. I keep it on my counter along with all my other daily use items – face wash, astringent, mouthwash, etc. Now when I get ready for bed I just go on down the line and easily add the Women’s Rogaine to my routine. I’m looking forward to the day when I will feel good about my hair to scalp ratio. 🙂

You’re hair is adorable short, it would look great, and probably grow better if it were all natural. You have 8 months. . . Go natural!!!
