A Night at the Movies with AMC and Coca-Cola Freestyle

I love “going to the show”. There is something about watching a movie in a theatre that heightens the experience. But, life is busy, so I don’t get to go as often as I would like.

However, this weekend I was able to take a date night thanks to Coca Cola and AMC! Woo hoo!! I viewed the list of Featured AMC movies – Now Playing and decided. We went to the AMC Theatre in Naperville, IL to see Interstellar. As you all know I LOVE my sci-fi space movies! This one did not disappoint. Think Contact, but much, much better! The movie was long (2:48), but it was very good. It was the kind of movie that really makes you think. I don’t want to give away too much of the movie. It’s definitely worth a watch! Matthew McConaughey (Swooonnnn!!) is fantastic as is the rest of the cast.

Yes, good sci-fi movies are a real addiction. As for food… I have only a couple of real food weaknesses right now, one of them is really good authentic tacos. Since we were early for the movie we were able to check out a new Mexican restaurant. Luckily the tacos did not disappoint. Happy and full we headed off to the theatre. But before heading in to watch the movie we checked out the new Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. At this particular theatre they have six Freestyle machines, 3 on each side of the concession area. This is great. There was no waiting.

I have seen these machines at other establishments and they always make me happy. Not only are they fun to play with, but there are so many options! Almost too many options. No matter what you like you will definitely find a combination to quench your thirst.

You see, I have a confession… I LOVE Cherry Coca-Cola! I can get Cherry Coca-Cola from this machine. Score!! I can get Cherry Coke with a splash of orange, raspberry, or a huge combination of other flavors! With all of the combinations available there are well over 100+ drink choices in these machines. When I’m being good I choose Minute Maid Lemonade with Cherry or Raspberry. Yum!

I will be going back to the movies again really soon for a date with my kids. They want to see Big Hero 6, and we are all looking forward to seeing The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. I can’t wait!  Actually during the previews I spotted quite a few movies that I want to see when they come out.
