You remember that I absolutely, positively love hhgregg, right? I mean, besides that fact that the place is full of great gadgets, electronics, and home goods, it is where my wonderful Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer set came from. That still makes me smile. 🙂
I love shopping at hhgregg because it is a smaller store than some of the huge retail stores. You get a more personalized shopping experience. You can browse the aisles and find one of hhgregg’s Top 25 Holiday Gifts quickly. Or, you can shop online and pickup in store. I love that option!
hhgregg has just about everything that would make me happy if I received it for the holidays… computers, audio equipment, gaming systems, appliances, and kitchen gadgets to name a few. When browsing the list of recommended gifts, I was very happy to see a few of my favorite things on the list. Some of these items I have purchased myself. Others I have received for review. In either case, I love them, so I am sharing them with you.
Here are some of my favorite top holiday gifts to pick up now from your nearest hhgregg.
Google Chromecast: I just named it on my list of gifts for tv and movie buffs. The Chromecast is a great, inexpensive gift to help anyone bring their computer to their television. Setup is easy as long as the TV has an available HDMI port. The Chromecast can even be powered by the USB port of the television. I bought one soon after they were released. I have it connected to my bedroom TV. I use it from time to time to stream videos in the browser, or from the numerous apps that are now Chromecast compatible. The Chromecast is now only $35.
HDMX Jam Classic Wireless Bluetooth Speaker: I got one of these last year during CES. This is an awesome speaker for someone who travels, or someone with a small room that doesn’t have the space for a huge stereo system. It connects to any Bluetooth enabled device that streams music, and it sounds good. At only $22.99 it is a great, inexpensive stocking stuff.
Samsung 24″ 720p LED HDTV: I just purchased and picked up this exact television a couple of weeks ago and stashed it to be a Christmas present for my boys. It is replacing the smaller 19″ TV which I “borrowed” from their room to put in the guest room for my mother who has been staying with us. At 24″ and 720p this television is the perfect size for a small bedroom. It has 2 HDMI ports, component input, and a USB port which lets you take advantage of ConnectShare Movie technology to play videos, photos, or music right from a USB key plugged into the television. At only $159.99 this is a great deal.
Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD Headphones: I admit that at first I was skeptical about the buzz around Beats. However, they are some darn good headphones! I love mine! I feel all DJ like when I where them. LOL. They do a great job of making the music sound loud and clear. They are the only headphones that have 2 speakers inside each can. This means that you get more definition in your music. I also love how they fold up for easy storage. At $169.99 these headphones are for the true music lover.
Keurig K350 2.0 Brewer: The Keurig is the perfect gift for the coffee lover that does not drink too much coffee! The ability to make only one cup at a time is great. There is no fear of half a pot of coffee sitting around all day that no one drinks. However, if you are a 2-3 cup drinker, or you are having company you can use the carafe to make more at one time. I also love that the new Keurig 2.0 includes a filter right in the water reservoir. This is great for my home since I have very hard water. The Keurig K350 2.0 is $149.99.
Fitbit Flex™ Black Wireless Activity + Sleep Wristband: I am on my 2nd Fitbit. The first one was on a clip and I lost it at a conference. Boo!! Now I have a Fitbit Flex. And while there are many fitness trackers out there, I love the Fitbit Flex because you can put it on your arm in the morning like jewelry and it stays put. It will track you all day. I know that some smartphones now do the same. But if I walk around without my phone in my pocket, or I ask a friend to watch my stuff at a meeting while I walk around for a bit I am not being tracked. This way, you do not forget. It connects to an easy to use smartphone app to help you track and maintain your fitness goals and sleep cycles. The Fitbit Flex is $99.99.
These are just a few of the things that caught my eye. For the complete list, visit hhgregg’s list of Top 25 Gifts for This Holiday Season. Please note that the list may change from time to time.
