Nissan Celebrates Haute Havens & The Feeling of Having it All

Nissan is honoring women that get it all done. People used to ask me all the time, “How do you get it all done?” The truth is that I never do. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. However, perception is sometimes key. Even though I might not make every deadline or mark everything off my list from day-to-day, I still feel very lucky to be in the position that I am in. ☺ Being able to appear to have it all together is important to self-esteem, and to business. I am using this year to better my business and myself and to learn to do more and think less. But, the struggle is real!

There seems to be a secret society of women that have figured out how to get it all done and have it all. Are you one of these women? Getting it all done does not necessarily mean that your home is spotless (Oh how I wish!), you mark everything off your to-do list, and your kids are in bed on time every night. However, it means that you accomplish your important goals. This is key when you are running a business.

Nissan is showcasing inspiring women that Have It All in a series of videos. They are the Haute Havens, and I am definitely inspired! Haute Havens videos highlight African-American women entrepreneurs, creators, and other well-known movers and shakers who definitely give off the air of Having It All.

The below video features Geneva Thomas, journalist and star of Bravo’s Blood, Sweat, and Heels. In the video, she shows us around her apartment. Her New York apartment is beautiful!!! She has figured out a way to use fashion items as art and it really works. It is inspiring me to organize and add some much needed color to my home.

If you read Geneva’s bio, you will see that she has been blessed to work with The Tyra Banks Show, Huffington Post, BET and many other reputable outlets. Talk about inspiring! I think every little girl thinks about following her dreams. For many that does not lead to being a TV star. But if that is your dream, women like Geneva are a true inspiration.

As a blogger, I have been fortunate enough to have been presented with many experiences that I would never have gotten if I had not decided to start this little website. I never imagined that something like this could happen. It’s not something that I would have thought of several years ago. However, now that times have changed, hard-working bloggers are getting jobs and opportunities once reserved for those with connections in high places.

I’ve been blessed to work with companies such as Nissan here during the Chicago Auto Show. And in 2012 I had the great pleasure of joining Nissan in Nashville for the launch of the new Altima. We drove through a beautiful countryside to try out the Altima. Also, my father drove an Altima several years ago, and I have always loved them!

I checked out the new Altima at the Chicago Auto Show just a few days ago and it is beautiful! If I did not have to fit 4 kids and all of their gear in my car, an Altima would definitely be near the top of my list.

Do you possess the feeling of Having it All? How do you get it done?

With its stylish looks and premium interior, the Nissan Altima is just as much an individual as you are. Not fitting into one mold is what makes the Nissan Altima not only unique but very exciting!
