PowerGistics Home Hub Review

February 18, 2021 by Kris McDonald Leave a Comment

With working from home most of the time over the past 10 months, one of the things that I have been working on is organizing and cleaning up my office. So, when PowerGistics asked me to review their new Home Hub, I looked at it and knew right away that it is a perfect fit for me. As a tech blogger, IT professional, and someone who works from home I have a lot of gadgets. I have purchased quite a bit, I have some for work, and I have received many to review over the years. Because of this, I have a lot of cables, and things to charge. And I admit that can be a problem.

The below contains affiliate links.

Here’s my confession of today. After years of collecting laptops, tablets, and other gadgets, I have a LOT of charging cords. Here goes…

That is how I have been keeping up with them. Terrible, right?? It’s HORRIBLE. Whenever I need to find one for a specific laptop, I have to dig through this mess. And I promise that they did start out being all neat and wrapped… they really did. But, as soon as you start shuffling them around that changes.

So, you can understand the excitement that I had when I laid my eyes on the PowerGistics Home Hub! This is PERFECT for me!! Ok, to be fair… it is also perfect for a family since it can be put in a central location if need be. But, this one is ALL MINE!!!

PowerGistics is a company known for designing and building charging stations for many settings including businesses. And now they have designed a solution for home users, the PowerGistics Home Hub. Built using the same strong technology and durable materials as the office counterparts, the Home Hub will help you organize all of your devices in one place.

PowerGistics Home Hub Specs

  • Available in 3 colors – aqua, black, and white.
  • Hide & eliminate cable messes
  • Charge up to 10 devices
  • Space to organize up to 8 power bricks
  • Holds up to eight 14″ devices
  • High quality aluminum construction
  • High performance surge protector to protect your devices
  • Built out of high quality aluminum

PowerGistics Home Hub Installation

Installing the PowerGistics was super easy. There was nothing to put together, no tools involved. It came ready to go. Installation only consisted of plugging in my device chargers, wrapping up the extra cords, routing it through the proper holes to the shelves, and closing up the back panel. It did not take long at all.

One tip I have is to use regular twist ties versus the included zip ties until you have everything placed exactly where you want it. And, you can skip using the zip ties unless you are sure you will not have to remove the cords at all. One way around moving them is to hop on Amazon and order additional chargers for the devices so that they can stay put, and you still have one for travel.

Now, all of your devices are charged by the grounded and protected surge protector built into the unit.

There are also 2 outlets on the upper left of the unit so that you can plug in other devices without having to open the back of the unit.

And now I have all of my preferred devices in one place, always charged and ready to go. No more hunting to find the power cord when I want to use one. I can just grab a device when needed. I know this does not sound like a big deal, but it’s huge! In the past, I would have devices plugged in all over the house…. my office, the kitchen, my bedroom.

In Closing

If you are like me and you have a ton of devices, or you want a reliable centralized charging station for your family’s devices, please check out the PowerGistics Home Hub on Amazon. You have a choice of the version that I received, or if your devices are all USB-based, you can get the PowerGistics Home Hub USB.

Now, off you go to organize your devices!
