My Favorite Seed Sites

When I decided to get back into gardening in 2019 I had only a few packs of seeds from many years before. When I setup my first AeroGarden, I used the seed pods that came with it. But, then I was ready to experiment and expand. Over the past several years I have hit multiple seed sites and stocked up on seed packs! And when I say stocked up… I mean I now have enough seeds to grow a nice-sized garden for years and years.

Updated March 2026.

Don’t worry, most seeds (with some exceptions) last for years if stored properly. In short, just keep them in a cool, dry place, and out of strong light. So, it’s totally ok to buy a pack of seeds, use some and store the rest of later use. I still have viable seeds from 2017 that I’m using.

Not knowing much about seed sites at the time I had to just jump right in and try some. I took recommendations from gardening groups and did my own research. I ended up ordering from and recommending some sites over and over again. Why? Seed quality, amount, variety, and good customer service.

And yes, I am certainly open to trying new places! When I see a new site to try I get excited. Although, I REALLY do not need anymore seeds. But, once you start gardening and looking at seed sites you realize there are sooo many great and different varieties out there that we are not exposed to in grocery stores. So, have some fun, try some different varieties! It is eye-opening, and so much fun to try new things. We even have a saying in my gardening group, buying seeds is a whole different obsession than planting them!

Seed Packs

We are deep in it already this year, but next year do not wait until the last minute to get your seeds for summer planting! Get them when you are able. I bought seeds throughout the winter not only for my indoor hydroponic garden, but also for outdoors. Companies do sell out. Many of us might remember how in 2020 and 2021 companies had no stock. And most recently, one of our favorites sites for micro dwarf tomatoes had sold out of almost everything.

Seed Sites That I Keep Going Back To

These are just some of MY favorites, of course there are plenty of other sites out there that you may love, too.

Epic Gardening (link automatically takes 5% off. They have great selection of heirloom varieties from Botanical Interests)

MIGardener (large, very reasonable selection! I order from them way too much)

Park Seed (code LITTLETECHGIRL15 takes 15% off your order)

Renee’s Garden (great selection of interesting varieties)

Seeds n Such (Great place to get bulk packs)

SeedsNow (great selection of reasonable seeds). Use code LTG10 for 10% off your order.

Sow Right Seeds (Code KRIS10 takes 10% off)

Territorial Seed

True Leaf Market (Use code LTG26 for 15% off your order)

Tomato Fest (Large selection of tomatoes, great variety!)

WoodlandCreationz (Great selection of micro dwarf tomatoes)

I have had great luck with seeds from all of these companies. You will find your favorites too and have a thriving garden!

Yard and garden

And of course you can always pick up seeds at stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Menards, and even Dollar Tree.

Seed Starting Accessories

If you are planning to use your AeroGarden for summer seed starting see my post, Guide to Starting Outdoor Garden Seeds in your AeroGarden.

AeroGarden Seed Starting Kits – They come with a deck that allows you to start more seeds than a regular deck, sponges, and AeroGarden nutrients. Be sure to choose the right one for your AeroGarden model.

AeroGarden Bounty Seed Starter

If you are looking for tomato seeds to grow full term your AeroGarden or other hydroponics, check out my post, 10 AeroGarden Tomato Tips for Newbies, to ensure growing success!

If you prefer to start your seeds in the traditional way (in soil), you might need…

1020 Trays – After using some recycled from a nursery, I decided I wanted to invest in some that will last me for years. I bought some durable, colorful ones from Bootstrap Farmer. I also purchased their 2.5″ Starter pots.

Happy shopping!
