Cool, Cute, Reasonable iPad Cases

Yes, I know.. the iPad 2 is coming out. It’s thinner, blah blah. But I’m not getting one any time soon. So, I will continue to outfit Paddie in the cutest gear. :) And I am sure that these same ones will soon be available for iPad 2 as well. :)

I have a fetish for cute cell phone cases, and iPad cases. I have not had my iPad that long, and I already have 3 cases. :) But hey, I’m a girl. I sometimes like to change cases to fit my food, or my outfit. LOL! Really though. Each type of case has a different function.

Here is what I have. I like them, but I’m always on the look out for more.

Newer Technologies NuGuard iPad Case – This one is a thin silicone sleeve sleeve perfect for when you don’t want to add a lot of bulk, but you want to protect your iPad back from scratches. It also adds good grip. Coupled with a screen protector and it gets the job done. I like that it does not cover up too much of the edge of the device. Some other cases have so much on the edge it sometimes makes it hard to navigate icons, etc. that are close to the edge of the screen. The one that I have is different than the one pictured. But I could not find it on the website. Looks like they have updated them since I received it. This newer model is priced at $19.99.

Browsing their website, they have a LOT of really nice cases available. There is even a leather portfolio case that costs a whopping $129.99. But it looks sooooo nice!! You can browse the iPad cases available as well screen protectors and more on the Newer Technology website.

iFrogz Luxe Original in Pink/Purple Fusion – I scored getting this one. I ordered one case for my iPad which was red and black two-toned. When my boss saw it, she wanted one too. So I gave her the one that I had. When I went to reorder, ATT had this one available. And you know how I feel about pink. :) Strangely, this color is not shown on the iFrogz website, so it may only be available from ATT. Right now it is on sale for only $20 when ordered online.

I like this one because it’s rock hard. It makes the iPad seem very well protected. And again, it does not cover up the edges of the screen. It’s also very easy to plug in the charging/sync cable on this case.

Dark Pink Leather Skin Case – This is the one that I use most often when working. It’s a very versatile case that allows the iPad to be propped up for typing, or movie watching, etc. Guess where I found this one?? On eBay! I love the different things that I can do with it. The leather is pretty durable, and it fits the case well. The only thing that I don’t like is what I described above, that the edges of the case cover up the edge of the screen which sometimes annoys me. Also, I have to remove the case to charge the iPad. This is despite the fact that there is a port cut into it. It is just not quite wide enough, so I can’t connect the charger correctly. I think I paid $20 for this with free shipping. It was worth the price.
