Creative Memories Storybook Creator Software

September 30, 2009 by Kris McDonald 20 Comments

All of the ladies (and gents) that attended the Type-A Mom Conference last week in Asheville, NC got a free copy of the Creative Memories Storybook Creator software. So far it is awesome. I need to put it through the ringer though, but I have no doubt that it will hold up. I just need to get used to doing things different than I do in the other software that i usually use. 🙂 Here are a few pages that I quickly created using some of my photos:

    I haven’t had a chance to even take this out of it’s wrapping, but after seeing what you did…SO COOL! I don’t think I realized it could do such beautiful stuff. I’ll have to try it out soon.

    Cute! You did an amazing job with yours! The nature one to the right could be in a magazine.

    The nature shots are gorgeous and I love the soft edge you gave them.

    Quick Tip: if you want a group of photos (like your two columns of three shots each) the same size, the same spacing apart, etc all without guessing, the software can do that automatically for you.
    Go to the Arrange tab, there on the left you will see an Alignment section.

    It allows you to line items up on top, sides, etc. And copy sizing too so each of the small six shots will be identical size with a click – no guess work. And make the space between the three exactly equal for you – not need to eye ball it.

    Just thought I would share that nifty little feature for you and your reader.

      @Karis Bellisario,

      I did know and use arrange to align, but I did not see copy sizing. I will check that out.

      Thanks for the tip!

        @LittleTechGirl,
        As you hover over each symbol in the alignment area you will see what it does. The sizing one is bottom left in that area.

        There is one for spacing within the column too, so space between the three on the right and three on the left would be identical with a click. Way cool!

        You are an awesome photographer Kris

    Kris,

    So fun to have dinner with you. Great to see the kids that go with the mom I met at type-a mom con.

    You did a great job with the pages. The more you play the more you will love it. Any questions just shoot me an e-mail (the 140 character thing kills me) KarisCM@cox.net
