Listen to Your iPhone Wirelessly with the Yamaha PDX-60

This post is pretty old, but Yamaha now has an updated line of speakers that would be perfect for your home.

My iPod and my iPhone are always with me. I listen to my iPod in the car, at work, and on public transportation. Basically wherever I am. It is also filled with my kids movies so that I do not have to keep track of DVDs in the car. My iPhone is my mini-computer in my pocket. I also use it to watch Podcasts and occasionally listen to music.

I don’t use my iPod at home that much but I would love to. The Yamaha PDX-60 would be perfect for that. It’s wireless!! You can still carry your iPhone or iPod around, yet listen to music on the speaker in another part of the house. It also allows you to charge 2 units at once. One using the dock on the speaker and one on the including charging cable.

I think my favorite feature has to be the ability to choose between using the dock, or streaming wirelessly.

The Yamaha PDX-60 supports:

  • iPods
  • iPhone 3G
  • iPhone
  • iPod touch
  • iPod classic
  • iPod nano
  • iPod (5th generation)

Their site does not list 3Gs, but I am betting it supports that as well.  It also includes a remote control, so you don’t have to walk over to adjust your music.

I have my whole music library on my iPod. It would be awesome to be able to just plug it in and listen in any room.  The Yamaha PDX-60 is perfect for streaming your iPod music library.
