This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Nielsen Research. All opinions are 100% mine.
As we know by now, Nielsen is all about data and research. We recognize the name from the fancy boxes that some families install in their homes to track TV viewing. This is what reports the ratings of the show. Well that is not all they do. From their website: The Nielsen Company is the world’s leading provider of marketing information, audience measurement and business media products and services. Through our Mobile Panel and other information services, we help the mobile industry build content, services and applications that consumers want by providing the industry with the best information on consumers.
Now they are stepping into the mobile arena with a mobile panel of smartphone enthusiasts. Why? It’s all about the data. The mobile industryYou can join today and install the application to your phone which allows Nielsen to track the way that you use your mobile and the websites that you visit. What?? Yeah, I know… it sounds like Big Brother is watching, but they assure us the all data collected is anonymous. Besides, I’m sure we are being track in some way anyway. 🙂
The program is available to users of Windows and Android phones (for now). Right now, they are encouraging Windows Mobile users to participate to get a Windows $50 gift certificate.
How would you feel about participating in this type of program? Would you do it?
