This post also appears on the Lifetime Moms site.
Even though I may appear to be a tough gadget girl, I am actually a sap. I’m a romantic at heart. And because of this I am hopelessly addicted to Lifetime movies. I can watch all the marriage, baby, bad love, and other marathons and be happy as can be. Yes, this is in addition to my Sci-Fi movie addiction.
As a Lifetime Moms Affiliate I had the GREAT opportunity to preview Sundays at Tiffany’s, a new Lifetime Movie airing next week starring Alyssa Milano. And if that was not cool enough, I got to speak to Alyssa on a conference call this past Tuesday afternoon. She is just as sweet and charming on the phone as she is on TV. I have always loved Alyssa as an actress. I am just about 1 year younger so I totally feel like we grew up together. I watched Who’s the Boss religiously. But those days are over. She is now a grown and beautiful woman that has tackled many roles in both TV and film. Some of my favorites include Charmed (of course), her role on an episode of Castle, and Living Dolls (did you remember that one?? – LOL!)
One of her latest projects is a beautiful love story called Sundays at Tiffany’s which is airing on Lifetime on Monday, December 6 at 9/8c. It is based on the book by James Patterson. I did not read the book, but I loved the story. I don’t want to give away too much of the movie, but it is a very unique modern fairy tale. Here is part of the official description from Lifetime:
When I watched the movie, I was completely drawn in. You quickly connect with Jane and want her to be happy. The movie is sweet, sappy, romantic, and well written.
During the call, Alyssa talked to us about tweeting, love, being green, electric cars, and her successful career. She will be 38 in just a couple of weeks and still looks like a teen! She tells us that she does not recall having her own imaginary friend. However, she was an only child for 10 years until her little brother came along so she had a very active imagination and often played pretend. She also she said she was so spoiled that when she asked her parents for a little brother, they delivered!
If you are active on Twitter, you may know that Alyssa is also. I asked her if she usually tweets while on set. She said that she tweets almost all the time, no matter what she is doing. She even manages 3 Twitter accounts! Then she giggled and said that there are some limits. 🙂
She loves to garden and believes in saving the environment and said that her hubby is getting ready to purchase a Chevy Volt. Alyssa herself drives a Nissan Leaf. They are indeed a power green couple.
I really enjoyed participating on the call and I really enjoyed the movie. I look forward to seeing the final version. Be sure to watch on Monday, December 6 at 9pm/8pm central.
