This post brought to you by OgilvyInteractive. All opinions are 100% mine.

There has been a lot of talk in the news lately about traditional newspapers and magazines taking the plunge into digital media. Sure, lots of them already have websites. But, they are taking it one step further and developing apps specifically for iPad usage. The iPad is an excellent platform for digital newspapers. The size is right, and the swipe technology makes for a great fast way to sort through the news.

I have a few such apps on my iPad, which make it easy for me to keep up with the news and current events. This is a must for travelers. Packing several books and magazines makes your luggage way more. Plus, many airlines now charge for carry-ons so packing light is a must. If you own an iPad, you can easy carry several issues with you to keep up with topics relevant to your life.

I was happy to check out The Collection magazine app for iPad. This is a new way to explore content with rich media and interactive content. The user can purchase available issues within the app. It’s as easy as picking up the new issue at the checkout at your favorite grocery store. The currently available issue is all about Prince William. If you are into the upcoming Royal Wedding, you can download it for $4.99 and read all about him.

More issues will be available in the future. While you wait you can download The Collection from the App Store. The app is free, although issues do cost.

If you love to keep up on current events by reading the news on your iPad, download it today.
