This past weekend at Gleek Retreat I spoke about enhancing your blog posts with photos without sending your readers running for cover. 🙂 You know what I mean… you visit a website and you wait, and wait, and wait for the page to load before finally giving up and moving on to the next one in the Google search list.
We don’t want that to happen. We want users to read our posts. And hopefully look at our photos and go “Ooh, ahh, pretty…”, not run the other way. 🙂
My presentation was based mostly on a post that I wrote not too long ago on Mom Blog Magazine about the same subject.
In summary, here is the jist of the presentation:
- Start with great photos
- Don’t steal!
- Use great tools
- Resize your photos
- Protecting your work
- Using Flickr plugins for WordPress
- Inserting photos the right way
- Fun mobile photo apps
To view all of the slides see below. I added a bit more relevant info to these.
