Ok, well maybe not extreme in this case. But, people have used coupons for years. But lately, it seems that Extreme Couponing has taken on a whole life of it’s own. There are blogs dedicated to it, a show about it, and people share and swap coupons like candy.
I have written before about how I always look for coupons before making an online purchase. IT.IS.A.MUST! There is no reason to pay full price if you don’t have to. I have purchased all kinds of things at a major discount because I found a coupon. So, where do you look?
Well Google is a good start. But, there are a few sites that you should have bookmarked to hit before you shop. One of those is MyCoupons.com. The site has online coupons for things ranging from arts and crafts to auto parts to computers. There are some things on there that I would not even have thought to check for coupons such as driver’s education and homeschooling items! Some of the coupons available are Overstock coupons. I love that site for finding reasonable furniture items! There are 1800Flowers coupons…perfect for Mother’s Day. And my favorite (so far), Best Buy coupons. I have a rule… I never go shopping at Best Buy unless I absolutely cannot find what I am looking for somewhere else in an emergency. Or, if it is on sale! So, of course a coupon helps that.
The site is easy to use and info is right at your fingertips. Most of the coupon codes are just “Click to Get Code” so, it does not waste time with saving codes and copying and pasting.
If you browse to a site, see something that you want and just buy it, you are wasting money. Get a coupon FIRST! And with the economy the way that is is now, that is not good. Save your money… for gas. LOL!
