As a momAgenda COMM member, I get the pleasure of trying out the different products. This of course tickles me since I am addicted to planners (as previously mentioned). You can never be too organized. This is especially true when you have children. With children comes homework, doctor’s appointments, after-school activities, and more.
momAgenda recognizes that moms need a way to keep track of all of this. There is a full line of planners available so that you can choose the one perfect for you. I chose a smaller momAgenda Mini-Daily because it is small enough to fit in my bag or large purse for easy access and to make notes whenever necessary.
At approximately 5′ x 7″, it is a great size for carrying around, but still includes plenty of space for writing down everything that you need. The front of the planner features a 1 month per page view that is perfect for getting a quick view of everything that you have scheduled for one month. The internal pages include 1 day per page for plenty of space for writing detailed notes, or several appointments on one day. The pages are broken up into 3 sections: To Do, Kids, and Dinner. This makes it easy to keep everyone where they need to be.
The different sections are very helpful. In the front of the book there is a full listing of holidays for 2010 – 2013, so that you can very quickly see where one falls without flipping through too many pages.
The listing of favorite websites is a great resource for discovering new sites for health, shopping, parenting, and more. Some of the sites are very well known, but there are a few gems in there that we might not have yet visited. Also included are a ton of toll-free numbers for services such as airlines, car rentals, hotels, and credit card companies. This makes this book a must have when traveling with the family.
I also love the pull-out momEssentials section in the back which includes an address book, area for important phone numbers, medical information, and important dates. This should give you piece of mind that if you lose your smartphone, you will still be able to get in touch.
My kids have already started school this past week. It was much earlier this year. Last year they did not start until August 25th. This year they started on August 8. So, I am still getting adjusted and making notes of what happens on what days. Having 4 kids, it is a must that I stay in the loop and keep up with what is going on. Each class has 2 teachers, so I have 8 teachers to keep up with. Each class has a different schedule for gym, science, and fieldtrips, etc. It is enough to make my head spin. I have no choice but to write it all down!
My momAgenda Mini-Daily makes that easy. And for those times when I have a trip, I can just hand the whole book off to Dad or Grandma, so they will have everything at their fingertips to insure that the kids are where they need to be on time.
