Photography is a huge part of our lives now. Not only are many of us toting DSLR cameras or pocket cameras, with the advances in smartphone cameras everyone is now snapping pics… all the time. And for good reason. We love to save our memories, and we love to share them. Photography sites are popular web destinations. Mobile photography apps for uploading and sharing are highly used. There are an estimated 5 million+ photos uploaded to Instagram per day. That does not include all the other many photo sharing sites out there.
And now, aspiring photographers and tech savvy computer users that enjoy dabbling in photo editing and video creation are trying their hand at creating time-lapse and slow motion videos in the A Momentary Lapse contest. The contest gives participants a chance to show off their photography and editing skills showcased in a 30 – 90 second video. Some of the work uploaded is quite stunning.
- Create an original 30 – 90 second time-lapse or slow motion video that focuses on music, style, entertainment, or sports.
- Spice up your video by downloading one of Intel's 5 approved music tracks (optional). Everyone loves a video with a great soundtrack.
- Head over to A Momentary Lapse to submit your entry.
The phase two winner is in the process of being chosen. But you still have to show off your skills. The contest is open until October 22, 2012. A total of five winners will be announced per phase for a total of 15 winners. Prizes include cameras, Ultrabooks, and a chance to appear in an Intel Online ad. How cool is that?
Head on over to A Momentary Lapse and have a look at all of the wonderful entries already submitted, or submit your own.
