Now that we know more about how products that we use from day to day affect the environment, many of us have decided to be more eco-friendly. If you are about that life, then you may be wondering how to ensure that you are remaining eco-friendly even when on the go. Well, we know that there are apps for just about everything.

To make things considerably easier for you and to ensure that you’re still doing your part to save the environment, below is a list of some great eco-friendly apps for use on your smartphone.

Good Guide: First up we have Good Guide. This fantastic app is completely free and it helps you out in your day-to-day life as it lets you check for environmentally friendly items before you decide what to purchase. With a database consisting of 175,000 items that include pet food, toys, household cleaning supplies and tons of other items, this handy app will make sure that you stay green. It even comes with a barcode scanner that will let you check how environmentally friendly or unfriendly an item you’re about to purchase is.

#Climate: Not all of us have the time to keep up to date with climate change. To make things considerably easier, you could use the free ‘#Climate’ app that will let you check the latest and biggest climate changing actions by different organizations. Using a list composed of a database of thousands of organizations from Greenpeace to Anti-Fracking campaigns it lets you stay ‘in the know’ and even lets you share these events on Facebook and Twitter.
