Never Miss a Back to School Photo with #SanDisk Memory from @BestBuy

August 15, 2015 by Kris McDonald Leave a Comment

For some of us, our children may have started school in the past week. For others, we have 3 weeks or so left (thank goodness). And with that comes pictures…. lot of pictures. This week on Facebook I've seen several cute pictures of kids returning on the first day of school. You know how it is. It seems that no matter how old our kids get, and how big they are physically we are still excited when they start another school year. Each year is a milestone. Stop by Best Buy and pick up a SanDisk memory card to make sure that you will be ready to start snapping photos.

Don't judge, but right now I have over 5,000 photos and videos saved on my smartphone. Yes… really. Why? I attend a lot of events. I also snap a lot of photos of my kids during various activities. There used to be a time when it would not even be possible to have that many photos on a phone. But thanks to technology and the fact that so many smartphones now allow us to add our own SD card for more storage, we can keep snapping away and not worry that our phone will run out of space. I currently have a 64gb microSD card installed in my phone. I also have my phone set to immediately upload photos that I take to the Cloud so that I do not have to worry about losing them.

After my June wedding, I asked all of my friends in attendance to upload whatever pics that they may have taken to my Dropbox. It was so much fun to see candid shots from their point of view. However, I was so upset when one friend told me that she had deleted all of the videos and photos of my wedding from her phone because it was full. She did this before giving them to me. Now you know what I'm thinking? If she had a Sandisk SD card in her phone she would not have had this problem… and I would have my photos.

SD cards are also used in video cameras like the GoPro Hero+, DSLR cameras, pocket cameras, and more. Depending on your device you may need a full-size SD, miniSD, or microSD card. SanDisk offers SD cards ranging from point-and-shoot grade to professional grade. They also offer other types of storage for the wide array of devices available today.

Here are a few Sandisk products that I recommend checking out available at Best Buy:

SanDisk – iXpand 64GB USB 2.0/Lightning Flash Drive – Silver/Black

1466007anDThe iXpand 64GB USB Flash Drive allows you to transfer photos, videos and files between your Apple® iPhone® and iPad® and PC and Mac computers. This version provides 64GB of space for flexible storage options. This provides tons of space for storing your important files and documents. This is also a great way to backup or move photos off your phone to your tablet for editing on a larger screen. Includes USB 2.0 and Lightning connectors which allow it to work with PC and Mac computers as well as your iOS device.

The Sandisk – Ixpand 64gb Usb 2.0/lightning Flash Drive – Silver/black is available for $89.99 from BestBuy.com.

SanDisk – Extreme PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-3 Class U-3 Memory Card – Red/Gold

I have one of these installed in one of my devices. The 64GB of storage goes a long way. With this card, there is plenty of space to store your favorite memories. This microSD is fast enough to allow storage of 3D and full HD5 (1080p) video. 9387093frD

These are perfect for some cameras, smartphones, and tablets.

Just a tip… once you install a new microSD card in your smartphone, you want to make sure that your camera app is set to use the new card for storage instead of internal storage.

You won't have to worry about deleting photos or videos for a long time.

The SanDisk – Extreme PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-3 Class U-3 Memory Card – Red/Gold is available for $57.53.

SanDisk – Ultra Micro USB/USB 3.0 Flash Drive – Black

7016092frDThe SanDisk Ultra Micro Flash Drive allows you to easily transfer photos, videos and other data from your OTG (On The Go)-enabled Android smartphone or tablet. Or connect it to your computer with the included USB 3.0 interface to transfer files.

This is an easy way to backup or copy files from your smartphone. Or, use it to copy music files or photos to your smartphone.

The Sandisk – Ultra Dual 16gb Micro Usb/usb 3.0 Type A Flash Drive – Black is currently priced at only $8.99 at Best Buy. It is also available in 32GB and 64GB sizes.

Do you currently have enough storage? If not, get some now so that you are ready for back-to-school.

Disclosure: I was provided with a Best Buy gift card in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
