GlassesUSA.com Prescription Glasses Review

I have mentioned before that I prefer to wear my glasses over my contacts. When wearing contacts my eyes get tired faster, and if I am out all day they dry out. I have tried a couple of different types and the same thing happens. So, I usually reserve my contacts for special occasions, or on really sunny days when I know that I want to wear my cute sunglasses.

Because of this, I have a lot of glasses. I love cute glasses and often change them up with my mood and outfits. Just a few days ago I received a new pair from GlassesUSA.com for review. I have to say that I love them! A few months ago, I went for an eye exam. I chose new glasses while in the office. I do like them, but the fit is not quite right. I need to take them back to get adjusted I guess. Each and every time I hold my head down a bit they slide down my nose and sometimes fall off.

However, the ones that I received from GlassesUSA.com fit perfectly! I was very impressed. I don’t need any adjustments at all. I chose the Independence. They are available in black, brown, and purple. I went with purple.

The Try-On Tool

I was able to use the online “Try It On” tool to see exactly what the glasses would look like on my face. Using it is simple. If you don’t have one already, take a photo of yourself looking straight ahead, without glasses. Upload this to the site using the Try-On Tool.

You can adjust the size of the pic. Set your PD in the area to the right. Then drag the red targets directly over each pupil. Click Try on Glasses and voila! You are wearing them! You can try on as many pairs as you like, change the colors, and decide on the perfect pair.

A few tips for ordering glasses online:

  • When you get your exam, ask your optometrist for a copy of your prescription
  • Be sure that it includes your PD (Pupillary Distance). The average for most people is 63. However, mine is 66 and your’s could be different, so it’s good to have this number. The PD is the distance between your pupils.
  • Read the Reviews
  • Know the type, shape, and size of glasses that you need for your face. Then read the sizes, and description in full to make sure that they will work.
  • Definitely Use the Try It On Tool. It’s like being at the optometrist trying on dozens of glasses!

The glasses that I chose, Independence, were $89. This included my lenses. Prices on the site are as low as $38. They offer free shipping and free returns. And all glasses have a 1 year warranty and a 100% money back guarantee. And there are usually great coupons and sales available.

These glasses also have the flexible hinge, which I LOVE! This minimizes the risk of breaking the arm of your glasses.

If you are looking for some great, affordable, and cute glasses do check out GlassesUSA.com. I see several more pair that I wouldn’t mind having!

Disclosure: I received a free pair of glasses in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.

Did they pay you for this review? Because my experience has been an nightmare! I want the world to know how they don’t have the common decity to have a human being to respond to your billing and return issues. I would not recommend anyone buy glasses from this company.

      Hi Pauline,

No. I did not get paid for this review. I’m sorry to hear that you had problems.
      What problems did you have?

Do you work with any promotion or get free glasses from them? Do you have any financial investments in this company? Are you in a position to assist me in any issues I am having? Because I am not looking to have a conversation, but a solution. If you can not point me to someone that is man or woman enough to “hold” a human conversation in this matter, I really don’t feel it would be productive for me to express my disgust with a company that you seem to think is wonderful. No shade, just need a solution, not a conversation. Can you help with that?

Pauline, you commented on my post, so you started the conversation. Everyone has different experiences with different companies… some good, some bad.

I was asking what happened because maybe I could help. As it says on the bottom on my post, I received a free pair of glasses for this review. However, I have also purchased glasses from them and other online retailers SEVERAL times without issue. If you tell me what the problem is, either here for via email (use the contact form at the top) maybe I can try to find someone to help you.

But… if you were just looking for a place to vent, that is fine too.
