I love to cook. If I wanted to I could probably be a food blogger with no problem. However, I’m usually too busy cooking and then eating to take pretty pictures of my food! But, since I cook a lot there are kitchen gadgets that help me along the way!
Yesterday while cooking Thanksgiving dinner I had something in both ovens, 2 Ninjas going, a roast in my ShowTime, and things on the stove! I was not playing. And I like it that way. Also, just some praise for my new kitchen! At the old house, I would have had to pull out my portable table from Sam’s Club and set it up in front of the patio door to hold food, or the ShowTime and Ninja. It worked out, but it was a hassle. But now?? I am blessed to have enough room to put all my gadgets on the counters and still have space to cook and serve. Yesss!!!
Now on to those kitchen gadgets! All of the items listed below are items that I own and use in my own kitchen. And I have used them for YEARS, so I have given them all the true cook’s test. Again, I do not recommend anything that I do not use or believe in. If I recommended something and you got it and hated it, you would not like me much, would you? π

10 Kitchen Gadgets For the Cook in Your Life
Instant Pot
I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased my Instant Pot last year on Black Friday. At the time we were living with my mother-in-law while waiting on the new house so it stayed in the box for like 3 months. But now? I love it! I still don’t use it as often as I probably should, but when I do I am happy with the results. The 6-Quart IP-LUX60 is a decent size for our family. You can grab the Instant Pot LUX60 for only $64.99! That is a GREAT price!! The updated Instant Pot DUO60 6 Qt 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker is now on sale for only $79.99. Grab the Instant Pot DUO80 8 Qt for only $99.
UPDATE: I now own two of them!
Ninja Cooking System
I now own 2 Ninja Cooking Systems. And as mentioned I had them both going for Thanksgiving! The first I have had for around 6 years. The 2nd one I have had for only 2 weeks. But, I already know that I love it! The Ninja Cooking System allows you to slow-cook, sear, bake or steam all in one pot. The newer system is the Ninja CS960 Cooking System with Auto-IQ. Auto-IQ is a fancy mode that basically perfectly cooks the recipe for you at the touch of one button. The included recipe book includes over 80 pre-programmed recipes. There are so many recipes in the book that I need to try out. So far I have used it to make smothered jerk chicken legs, which were soooo good! And I used it yesterday to make slow cooked green beans. Yum! Get the Ninja CS960 Cooking System for as low as $127.49!
Showtime Rotisserie
Believe it or not, I do not even know how old the Showtime that I have is! My father passed away 17 years ago. I claimed it as my own then. And I have no clue how long he had it before that! But, I still have it. And it still rocks. I use it a few times a year. My favorite thing to do? Garlic Infused Beef Roast! Something about watching it turn, and smelling it cooking is just mesmerizing! It’s also great for chicken, fish, burgers, small chickens, and much more. You can pick up the Ronco ST5000PLGEN Showtime Rotisserie Platinum Edition for only $108.70.
Keurig K15 Single Serve Compact K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker
I don’t drink a lot of coffee at home. During the week I get coffee at work. And on the weekends, sometimes I don’t drink it at all. So, it makes zero sense for me to make a whole pot of coffee. The Keurig line of single serve coffee makers are perfect for those that never need to make a lot of coffee, or those households who have multiple people with multiple tastes. Right now you can pick up a gorgeous red Keurig K15 Single Serve Compact K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker for only $65.99! Other colors are available.
Ninja Master Prep Professional Chopper, Blender & Food Processor
Confession: I stole this. LOL! This was my husband’s. A few years back when we were dating he brought it over to my house and I would not give it back! Of course now that we are married I just call it mine. π I use it all the time for chopping veggies for recipes. It is so much easier than spending an hour chopping with a knife. I like the pulse action. Just by pushing down with my palm I can control whether or not I want to give something a rough chop, or completely pulverize it! It was a great help during Thanksgiving prep. It comes with 3 different bowls and pitchers to fit whatever you are doing. At only $39.88 on Amazon, the Ninja Master Prep Professional Chopper really is a steal!
Blendtec Designer Series Blender
I have been using the Blendtec Designer Series 725 blender for the past 3 years. I LOVE THIS THING!! It is used mostly for chopping, but I also use it for making smoothies, and juicing. How do you juice with a blender you ask? Well this thing CAN PULVERIZE!! And because it leaves in the bulk of the fruit, it is much healthier than a press juicer. This is one of the fancier options and will set you back almost $700. However, there are many models available to choose from.
Copper Chef XL with Induction Cooktop
The Copper Chef XL is the result of staying up late watching infomercials. LOL!! I remember tapping my husband and telling him about it. I guess I must have asked him to buy it for me. He gave me a credit card. I just remember him asking me the next day, “what did I buy last night??” π π Now that I have this thing I love it! This is a great option for those who need an extra cooktop, or even want to cook without heating up the stove. The induction surface heats up fast. And the non-stick surface of the pan is awesome! And of course, the pan works on your own stove as well. I actually have another copper pot skillet too and they both live up to the hype! You can get the Copper Chef XL 11″ Casserole 5pc & Induction Cooktop for only $139.99!
Breville BSB510XL Control Grip Immersion Blender
The Breville Control Grip Immersion blender is great for blending something right in the pot, or in small amounts. No need to pull out your huge blender. I have had this for 5 years now and it’s still awesome! It definitely makes working on quick recipes that need mixing or blending very easy. It comes with several attachments to do whatever you need it to do. It’s also an Amazon’s Choice item! Priced at $90.98 I think the Breville Control Grip Immersion Blender is totally worth it.
BLACK+DECKER Citrus Juicer
Do you enjoy juicing citrus fruit? I don’t! I use a lot of lemons and limes and I always feel like I’m not getting all of the juice if I squeeze by hand. Not to mention the fact that my hands end up with more juice on them than what goes in the bowl. A citrus juicer can do that hard work for you. This is especially helpful if you are working on a recipe that calls for several citrus fruits. I have had the one that I use for many, many, many years! Probably 15 years. It is an older BLACK+DECKER unit very similar to this one. But this updated BLACK+DECKER Citrus Juicer looks very nice! And at only $17.99 it is totally worth it to save your hands!
Flip-Over Pancake Maker
So I have had the one that I have by a company called “The Pancake Factory” for about 20 years! It still works! At first, I could not find it online, but it is listed on Amazon with the crazy price of $189. Say what?? I am pretty sure that I paid like $20 for this thing. They either do not make them anymore, or they only make a select few special editions every year. LOL! I went looking for a cheaper alternative and the closest one that is the Babycakes Flip-Over Pancake Maker. It is identical to the one that I have! But, at the price of $167.50 it may be a bit much for simple pancakes! However, It got 4.5 stars in 149 customer reviews, so it might be worth it! I will be on the hunt for another option. Meanwhile, consider getting a similar item. You don’t have to fuss with shaping perfect pancakes in a skillet.
Now you know what fills my kitchen. And there are actually a couple more items, but I will save those for a different time. What are your favorite kitchen gadgets?
