Wow!  This year has absolutely flown by. I swear it was just warm and sunny in July and I was sitting on my patio while grilling. Well, as I always say time moves very, very fast! It is now the end of 2018 and Christmas is less than one week away. YIKES! Are you done shopping? I think I am… I think. However, there are still some great gift ideas and great deals out there, so I just might see something that I cannot pass up.

Not too long ago I hosted an awesome tech related event with Techlicious and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). We mingled, we ate VERY well, and we checked out some great tech gift ideas of 2018. But, I mean let’s be honest… the shopping does not stop on Christmas, does it? Nope. We may get gift cards that we want to spend, or new gadgets that need accessories. Here are a few great ideas.

Featured #CTAHolidays Products

Lenovo Mirage Solo

You know I love my Lenovo products. But, I must admit I’m not big on VR tech. It is very, very cool though! Lenovo has once again created an awesome product with the Lenovo Mirage Solo with Daydream. It is the world’s first standalone VR headset. This means that it does not require a phone or anything else to function. It is fully functional on its own. Powered by a Qualcomm processor, it allows users to emerge themselves in a virtual world filled with ducking, dodging, learning, and moving to interact with the world around them. It is comfortable and easy to use, and will make any VR lover happy.

The Lenovo Mirage Solo is priced at just under $400.

Healium

Healium is not a physical product, but a service that works in conjunction with your VR unit to bring you a whole new world. Healium is a visual mediation channel to quickly reduce stress and increase feelings of positivity using real-time EEG feedback. The augmented reality escapes can be powered by your brainwaves or heart rate via wearables. A subscription is $27/month. For more information, visit the Healium website.

Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3100

Plantronics makes awesome headsets. You may remember that a few years ago I had another one of my Oprah moments thanks to Plantronics. I hosted a Twitter party and Plantronics was so happy with how it was going that instead of giving away just one or two Voyager Legend Headsets like we planned, everyone still tweeting at the end of the party received one!

Since then, tech has evolved once again and now Plantronics is offering the incredible BackBeat FIT 3100 True Wireless Sport Earbuds. They are sweatproof and waterproof. And unlike some that block out all useful noises, the Always Aware™ eartips allow you to hear your surroundings for safer training in any environment while still providing great sound.

The Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3100 is available for $149.99.

Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit

Everyone loves Harry Potter! And everyone wants to own a Harry Potter wand. So, what better way to teach you kids about coding? One of the hottest toys on the 2018 holiday list, the Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit comes with a wand that actually works. Kids start out by programming spells using their computer. They then use the wand to trigger those spells. It detects its position and recognizes over 30 spell motions from the Wizarding Word Universe.

The Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit is available for $79.99.

Fitbit Versa

Fitbit has been around for a while. They capitalized on our obsession with counting our steps. But, as smartwatches become more popular, users want more than just a step counter. This is the Fitbit Versa. It serves as the ultimate daily health and fitness companion. You get on-screen workouts, a long battery life, personalized reminders, and even female health tracking. Plus, many of the other features of smartwatches today.

The Fitbit Versa is available in many different styles and priced starting at $89.99.

iHome Smart Mirror

The iHome Smart Mirror is a very cool item for the lady that loves to listen to music while getting ready. It’s a beautiful vanity mirror with and magnified side and lighting that also has a pretty good speaker built into the base.

The iHome Smart Mirror is available in different sizes, priced starting at $69.99.

Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE Power Bank 10K with Lighting Connector

You already know that I am all about carrying a portable charger. Even though my Note 9 has an awesome battery, I don’t ever want to be caught with a dead phone. Belkin makes awesome chargers and power banks. One of their newest is the Belkin BOOST CHARGE with Lighting Connector. It packs enough power to bring your phone up to a full charge and then some.

The Belkin BOOST CHARGE is available for $59.99.

Speck Presido Cases

If you have a great, expensive phone, you need to protect it with a great case. Speck makes many great cases including the Speck Presido. Available in a Pro version, Stay Clear version, and more prices start at $39.95.

These are just a few awesome gadget ideas that you can grab to start off 2019 on the right gadget foot.

Happy Shopping!
