Seed starting time is here for many of our friends in milder climates, and it will be here soon for those of us in the northern half. Are you ready? Do you have supplies? Do you start your seeds in soil? In your AeroGardens, or other?
Seed Starting in AeroGardens
There are several reasons to start seeds in your AeroGardens.
- You can start a lot more seeds a once. Each AeroGarden model allows you to swap out the top deck for a seed starting deck. Depending on the model, you can start up to 85 seeds a once!
- Depending on where you are located, you can save a lot of space! If you live in the right climate you can start seeds right in the AeroGarden, move the bowl out to harden them off, and plant them in your outdoor garden. No need for hundreds of small pots. For the rest of use in colder climates we will likely still up to up-pot to nursery pots.
- Seeds germinate fast and grow faster than they do starting in soil.
