4 Ways Beverage Companies Can Boost Their Revenue

The beverage industry continues to be in good shape. Currently valued at $9.44 trillion, the industry is expected to undertake a CAGR of nearly 4% in the coming years, resulting in a valuation of $11.37 trillion by 2030.

Alas, that good news for the industry as a whole doesn’t necessarily equal good news for individual businesses. With large corporations dominating the industry, it can be difficult for small-to-medium-sized beverage businesses to experience continued growth and success.

It’s not, however, impossible. Below, we’ll take a look at a few key strategies that can help your beverage company get ahead.

Launch New Products

Beverage consumers are creatures of habit. You have a standout product, but there’ll be some customers who you just won’t reach. Adding new product lines is an effective way to get the attention of people who have yet to try one of your products. They may not have been interested in your cola-style drink, but they might be interested if you produce an energy-boosting, natural fruit, or low-sugar drink.

Enhance Your Packaging

A customer might love your drink products when they try them, but for that to happen, you’ll have to overcome one of the biggest hurdles that drink companies face when trying to get the attention of their target audience: making sure that they pay attention to your product on the shelf. In a sea of competition, consumers often make a judgment based not on the quality of the drink (they can’t, since they haven’t tried it yet), but on the product’s packaging. Good packaging design can be the difference between a customer choosing your drink and selecting one of your competitors.

Keep in mind that even well-designed drinks will begin to lose their impact after a while. A redesign can help freshen things up and help get the attention of people who had previously overlooked your product.

Look at B2B Sales

In the beverage world, all customers are welcome. While you might predominantly focus on reaching consumers by having quality products on the shelves of supermarkets, it can also be a good idea to explore B2B sale options. You can sell your flavored drink products to cafes or restaurants, while a 5 gallon filling machine will allow you to become a water provider to offices, gyms, hotels, and other businesses, which can be an effective way to boost your recurring revenue. Look at nurturing your relationships with business decision-makers, and you might find that you quickly get a few profitable clients.

Look Into New Markets

Finally, take a look at expanding into new markets. As we said above, consumers are creatures of habit — if they haven’t tried your product yet, then they may never do so. That’s usually the reason why beverage business growth tends to slow down after the initial jolt. When that happens, it can be beneficial to look at expanding your operations into new geographical regions, which can be an excellent way to increase your customer base and also open up new opportunities.
