SmarTouch Gloves Review & Giveaway

I live in Chicago. I have all my life. And it gets very cold in Chicago. Very, very, very cold! I was excited when given the opportunity to review SmarTouch Gloves. But when I got them, it was not yet cold enough to wear them. We have been having some strange up and down weather in Chicago and it stayed warm this year a little longer than usual, then it went up, then it went down. Even last week it was in the mid 60s! Yes… in Chicago, in November.

But this week?? Different story. It has been quite chilly. It has been in the 30s in the morning and evening and I think the high today is 47. Brrr… No, it’s not exactly winter yet, but it is still chilly.

And when it’s cold and you need to answer your touchscreen phone while outside, you freeze your fingers. Need to send a text? Not fun in the cold. smarTouch gloves is what you need!

smarTouch gloves are brought to us by Isotoner, who we know makes great gloves. What is special about these gloves is the conductive thread that is embroidered into the end of the thumb and index finger on both gloves. The thread sends an electric impulse from the fingers to the touch screen. It makes devices that work by touch think that you are touching it with your fingers body heat. Pretty cool. I have thread them out on my iPhone, HTC Evo, a Sony Ericcson Xperia X10, and an iPad. It works well with all.

smarTouch gloves are available for both men and women. They come in several colors. And you can get them lined or unlined. Prices range from about $20 – $30.

The Giveaway

Isotoner would like to give 2 of my readers a pair of smarTouch gloves.

To win, simply leave me a comment telling me where you live and why you need the gloves.

Winners will be chosen on Wednesday, November 24 after 5:00.

Disclosure: Isotoner provided me with a pair of smarTouch gloves for doing this review. No compensation was received.

I live in New York and would love to win a pair of these gloves. My hands are always sooo cold and it would be nice to have a pair that can still allow me to use my smartphone without running the risk of getting frost bite on my finger tips. lol… if I win I’ll even post my review on how well they work 🙂

I live in Columbus. It’d be nice to have a pair of these gloves. I have to use my hands a lot for mobility, and during the winter, need good gloves to keep warm, I also love to use my nook to read, so this would seem to help immensely in doing that.

I live in Columbus. The gloves would be handy because I wear fingerless gloves precisely to use my smartphone and my fingers get so cold!

I would like to win them because tomorrow (Nov 24) is my birthday, and I know the gift my husband bought hasn’t come yet. Assuming he actually ordered it and isn’t just claiming it hasn’t come 😉

But seriously, I live in Chicago with you and was trying to use my phone today while waiting for the train and wearing my gloves. It didn’t work, so I had to trade which hand froze every couple minutes. Rock on!

I think that I have everyone beat…I live in Western Michigan. The Great Lakes dominate Michigan’s weather. Lake effect snow squalls bring locally heavy snow averaging 70 plus inches each winter. It’s already really cold here and it’s only November. I really will need these gloves!

I live in California – not cold enough you say? It is when you’re visiting the snow on a regular basis, and when you work nights and the temps drop to the 40’s. I know it’s not Chicago cold, but still cold enough to freeze this CA girl.

I live in New Hampshire on a lake. In addition to the snow and cold, we have the wind from the lake blowing at us. I can never find a glove that lets me do the things that I need to do, and now that I have an ipad that I carry with me wherever I go, this would come in very handy.

I live “near” Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade mountains. Seattle is known for it’s rain, rain and more rain… but here in the foothills it’s much colder and that Seattle rain is more often snow where I am. I would love a pair of those gloves to keep my hands toasty in the winter months. They’d be perfect to wear while using my Omnia II.

I live in Chicago, just moved here this summer from Miami. My Boss and I walk to work everyday and will do so even in the winter! I must admit, I text my boyfriend and parents constantly as I am in a long distance relationship and very close with my family. Even with this relatively warm weather lately I’ve been wearing gloves– and it has been a NIGHTMARE to text with my MyTouch phone. Please help!

I would like to win this for my mom. We live in California so the winters are not truly bad in comparison to many other states. However, my mom has osteoarthritis and leaves for work at 5:30am and a lot of winter mornings, it’s in the 30s. These would be great for her as I just got her an iPhone!

Hi there! I live in Ohio, and it can be very cold here in the winter months (and sometimes well into spring!). I would love to have a pair of the SmarTouch gloves so I can still keep up with my busy life (texts, emails, my AVON website) while on the run this winter, yet still stay toasty warm. Thanks! 🙂

I’m happy to read this. I am a salesperson who’s often on the road and am a busy working mom. I have the opportunity to work from home a couple days a week. However, I often get calls or need to respond to emails while waiting outside school to pick my kids up. It gets mighty frosty here in New England, I could really get some good use out of these gloves.

Thanks for your consideration in your contest. I’d love to get some of these as holiday gifts, where are they sold?

I would love these for my husdand! We live in OHIO and buuurrrrrr the winters are brutal! He gets up every morning at 5am and when the snow hits he’s up earlier cleaning the windows of TWO cars and coming back into the house with cracked hands. I had to make a special lotion (Jergens and Vaseline) just so his hands don’t bleed at work. With these gloves we won’t have to worry about the cracked hands and he will be able to work faster and stronger 🙂 Pick me Pick Me!!! 🙂

I have an I-phone and live in Northern Vermont about 45 miles from the Canadian boarder, almost the entire winter we are surrounded by ice and snow, when we aren’t having a snowstorm that pounds us the wind chill is below zero, these gloves would be great to have, so my hands wouldn’t have to indure that cold
