Merry Christmas to me

Acer Aspire AS1410-8913 11.6-Inch Ruby Red Laptop – 6 Hour Battery Life

As you probably read in my post Death to Pinky, my cute little pink Acer Aspire One 8.9 inch netbook got attacked by a kid and the screen broken. That was the perfect opportunity for me to get myself a Christmas present (or 2) and upgrade to the new 11.6 inch version. I must say that so far I am very, very impressed. They have really stepped it up and turned this into a REAL laptop. It is upgradeable to 4gb of RAM, has a 250gb Hard Drive, built-in wireless Draft-N, and even built-in Bluetooth. I have already upgraded it to 3gb because I was lucky enough to have a compatible 1gb chip laying around. It is really, really decent. I am confident that I will be able to carry this one around and actually get some work done. The 8.9 inch was cute, and fine for web browsing and email, but it was slow as dirt, and not powerful enough to do things like Photoshop or watch movies. On this one the screen is outstanding. The resolution is good at 1365×768 and it supports 720p HD!

Iomega eGo Desktop Hard Drive, USB 2.0, 1TB, Ruby Red – 34267

I have had a very bad month or so for gadgets. Usually things go pretty good, but before my netbook got killed, my 1TB Buffalo external drive died while stilling holding some of my data! So, I moved on to a new one, red to match it’s new buddy Scarlett. This one is sturdy. It has a metal chasing, and feels very well put together. I would expect nothing less from Iomega. It is very fast too. I copied a bunch of stuff to it last night and it went very quick. I am still getting the other replaced, but after what happened, I felt that I needed a backup for my backup!

Belkin Wave Design Backpack – Notebook carrying backpack – 17″ – pink

I am a girl, and as you can see by my blog, I love pink! I needed a really nice girly pack for carrying around all my stuff that would accommodate my first love, my huge 17″ HP Laptop. I was so happy to find this one. I can’t wait to get it!

Linkskey LKS-SG5P – Switch – 5 ports – Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet – 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, 1000Base-T – external

A few months ago I upgraded to a new Wireless N Gigabit router. I am finally replacing the 2 switches in my house so that I can take advantage of that speed. I had never heard of Linkskey before I saw this, but I am going to give the a chance.
