First Tech Talk After Dark: Dell Inspiron One 23″ Demo & Webcast

Last night I was in downtown Chicago for a cool demo of the Dell Inspiron One 23″ Touchscreen computer. Not only was it a Dell webcast. It was also my first Tech Talk After Dark show. Well, not really MY show in this case, since Dell was running the whole thing that I was just a guess. 🙂 So I did no “hosting” what-so-ever. But I thought it was very nice that they let me broadcast the event in addition to their own broadcast.

As for the Inspiron One, it is a VERY nice machine. I could see my kids falling in love with it. Also, I would love to use it for some serious photo editing. The specs are solid. Especially for an All-in-One machine. I did not get that much time to actually play with the device. But what I saw was pretty impressive. It is a computer, a media player, a photo frame, and television and more. Of course this can be said of most computers. But, there is something special about the way this one is wrapped up. It’s packed full of features, fast, and user friendly.

They gave one away and Miss Lori won it! I’m sure she is probably staring at it right now. LOL. I would be. 🙂

In the video you can see me briefly look towards the camera in an awkward fashion. I had glanced at my laptop which was supposed to be streaming to MomTV. I had tried to start it before the show started, but stopped the stream to adjust the camera and had to wait for it to finish saving before I could tell it to start again. But I had to get to my place so I asked someone else to push the button for me, which she did. But neither of us knew that there was a 2nd pop-up box waiting to be pushed. I was trying to nicely signal someone to go and push the button for me, which they did. 🙂 I had a moment of panic that it would not get pushed since I was on camera and they did not want me to move, which would have meant no MomTV stream. LOL! Whew!

The model of the Dell Inspiron One that we viewed is priced at $949 and is available from Dell.com.
