The Broken Glasses Curse

February 22, 2012 by Kris McDonald 2 Comments

I seem to be cursed with breaking my glasses. Each time I have done it myself. I cannot blame my kids although I used to say that my main reason for buying inexpensive glasses was so that my kids would not grab them and break them. But, perhaps I was protecting myself from myself. 😐

The lucky part is that when I’ve broken them I’ve always been able to either get to another pair, or repair them quickly. And I have been lucky enough to not have it happen while driving or anything else that would be dangerous!

Places like GlassesUSA.com make me feel, well… not quite so upset if something does happen to my glasses. Can you imagine breaking a pair of glasses that you paid $300 for? The reaction would be a lot worse than if you break glasses that were only say $40. Because of this I actually keep a couple of extra pair of glasses on hand, so when the time comes, I just move on to the backup pair.

But, I have a confession…if I can I still fix the old pair with super glue or something and then they become the backup pair. Hey… you can never have too many as far as I’m concerned.

Right now GlassesUSA is having a 50% off sale on all orders over $80. Sounds like a good time to add a pair or two of new eyeglasses to the mix.

When it is time for you to buy glasses check out GlassesUSA.com.

Kris you could also try coastal.com they run a special on fridays , from their facebook page, that allows you to get a free pair, all you pay is the shipping, which is about 5 dollars. When they arrive, you get another coupon for a free pair. We have glasses in every room now, its great.
